10. Domaine Leroy Musigny Grand Cru 2012 - $14,436
Described as magical and a sumptuous cornucopia of floral scents, gentle and delicate with silky
tannins, this wine is no doubt worth its every drop.

9. Domaine de la Romanee-Conti Romanee-Conti Grand Cru 1990 - $21,216
This is one of the only two wines that were granted Class A status in the Classification of
Saint-Emilion wine. From 110,000 bottles produced, only a few have survived to this day.

Considered as one of the great vintages of the last century, this red wine batch was sold to an
anonymous bidder at Christie's, London in 1997 with a $114,614 price-tag which equates to almost
$23,000 per 750ml.

4. Cheval Blanc 1947 - $135,125
One of only two wines enjoying the Class A status in the Classification of Saint-Emilion wine, this
three-litre bottle was bought at Vinfolio in San Francisco in 2006 for the price tag above.

3. Chateau Lafite 1787 - $156,450
Though not drinkable, it is the most expensive standard bottle of wine sold to Publisher Malcolm
Forbes in 1985. The wine is believed to be from the late President Thomas Jefferson's cellar and has
the initials “Th. J.” etched in the glass.

2. Chateau Margaux 1787 - $225,000
It is the most expensive wine which was never sold and tested. A bottle, also from Thomas Jefferson's
collection, the wine was valued at an astronomical $500,000 by its owner William Sokolin. But the
bottle was accidently knocked by a waiter in the Four Season Hotel, for which insurers has to pay out
$225,000.
